Our Field
We maintain one of the best private R/C fields in Tennessee. We do not reside in a park or on public land. Our grass runway extends over 600 feet long and 100 feet wide, with wide open approaches in all directions. Any pilot can hit this runway!

Although other clubs may have lower dues, VSMA maintains its own private flying field. Because VSMA truly controls and owns the field, the club has the authority to enforce its rules, where as clubs located in parks can simply request flyers become members and fly safely. Since our field is privately owned, and secured, nothing has ever been stolen. Club dues are $100 for general membership, $100 for a family membership, and $35 per year for seniors (those over 65).

Directions to the Field
Conveniently Located: 25 minutes from Nashville, 15 minutes from Clarksville, 15 minutes from Springfield, and 5 minutes from Exit 19 off I-24.
From I-24 West:
1) Take I-24 West to Exit exit 19, Maxey Road
2) Turn right off ramp and go 3 miles.
3) Turn left at the 4 way stop on Stroudsville Rd, and go 1.5 miles.
4) Turn Left on Winters Road. Follow driveway to field beside the barn.
From I-24 East:
1) Take I-24 East to Exit exit 19, Maxey Road
2) Turn left off ramp and go 3 miles.
3) Turn left at the 4 way stop on Stroudsville Rd, and go 1.5 miles.
4) Turn Left on Winters Road. Follow driveway to field beside the barn.
